Clean the Countries Tools Tier List

This board ranks what T / Upgrade / Pets actually do for FILL time. It is not a catalogue of unofficial item names. Karpath’s public sheet gives you pickup, drop, number-key tools, T equipment, G special, and hold-to-clean. Live HUD adds Shop, Upgrade, Inventory, Pets, and Cash. We rank those slots. S — buy first

Extra carry / second hand. Two Americas pieces per walk halves aisle trips. FILL 25 is a logistics puzzle. Carry is the only upgrade that changes the math immediately.

Grab range. Centre pile to continent sign without weaving around other players. On 20-player servers this is how you stop eating elbows.

These two sit in Upgrade (T on PC, Y on controller). Buy them after pass 1 cash, never during the last 15 seconds of a quota.

A — buy second

Clean speed. Hold-click / hold LT finishes specks faster. It is worthless if you still have Pakistan under a pile. Unlock it after you can see floor tiles.

Special (G) charge or radius. Officially a special ability. Use it on buried clusters. A bigger radius is A; a flashy animation with the same radius is C.

Inventory awareness. Not a purchase — a habit. Knowing you are on the grab tool is worth more than a mid-tier pet. Number keys plus the Inventory button are A-tier “tools” with a price of zero. See Controls.

B — optional helpers

Pets that mop specks. If a pet actually hold-clicks dirt, it saves pass 3. If it only orbits your avatar, it is a cosmetic with extra draw calls on mobile.

Walk speed. Nice on huge halls, easy to overpay for. Extra carry still beats raw sprint because you make fewer trips.

Luck / cash pets. Only B if you are farming Shop between runs. They do not park countries during FILL 12.

C — after the loop is stable

Trails, name tags, spray skins. Fun. Screenshot bait. Zero quota progress. Buy them with leftover Cash after a full Getting Started clear.

Impulse Shop bundles. If the bundle mixes a trail and a tiny carry bump, read the tooltip. Bundles exist to empty pockets during a timer. Close Shop, finish FILL, then reopen.

D — skip during a run

Unverified code GUIs and executor hubs. No public script targets this place (scripts). Opening a fake menu is how you miss FILL 2.

Random Discord “free pet” links. We have no confirmed Karpath Discord (links). Treat those as phishing.

Rebuying cosmetics you already own. Inventory clutter makes number-key swaps slower.

Suggested first-cash path

1. Finish one bay so Cash is real, not theoretical (How to Play).
2. Upgrade: carry, then range.
3. Do a FILL 12.
4. Upgrade: clean speed.
5. Only then look at Pets.
6. Cosmetics after a FILL 25 you did not scramble.

Co-op buying

Online co-op does not share Upgrade. Each player buys their own carry. The dedicated mop role should prioritise clean speed; runners should prioritise carry and range. Do not all buy pets “for the screenshot” before the first quota. The players hub assigns those roles.

Confidence and updates

Ranks will move when Karpath names SKUs. Until the Shop row is datamined in a patch note, trust the effect (more hands, longer grab) over the icon. Recheck this page after launch notes and weekly updates.
