Clean the Countries Pets and Cash
Cash is fuel for extra hands. Pets are extra. Trails are screenshots.
The HUD cluster Shop / Upgrade / Inventory / Pets sits next to your Cash number. New players open Pets first because the button is cute. That is how FILL 12 dies. This page is the economy guide that was missing from the first wiki pass. Pair it with the tools tier list and the pets tier list. Binds for opening Upgrade are T on PC and Y on controller (controls).
How Cash appears
Cash ticks up when you park a country piece on a matching continent shelf. Mopping specks is not a reliable printer. Double-grabbing the same USA with a stranger does not pay you twice. Codes do not print Cash today: public strings are still zero (codes).
Treat Cash as a session currency, not a score. The score is FILL complete (FILL quotas) and, later, leaderboard time.
Karpath’s official sheet already promised “earn upgrades and abilities to clean faster.” The live HUD is that promise: Upgrade spends Cash on reach, carry, and clean speed. Shop also sells cosmetics. Pets is a separate destination.
First-cash order (do not skip)
- Finish one labelled bay so the Cash is real (Getting Started).
- Open Upgrade (T / Y). Buy extra carry, then grab range.
- Run a FILL 12 without opening Pets.
- Buy clean speed if crumbs are done and mop is slow.
- Only then tap Pets.
If the Shop bundles a trail with a tiny carry bump, read the tooltip. Bundles exist to empty pockets during a timer. Close Shop, finish FILL, reopen.
What pets are for
Live footage shows a Pets button. Karpath has not published a public pet encyclopedia. Until a patch names SKUs, rank pets by effect, not by icon:
- A pet that mops specks is a legal pass-3 helper.
- A pet that only orbits you is a cosmetic with extra draw calls on mobile.
- A pet that claims to auto-place countries has not been verified on this place. Do not pay Robux hoping it is an executor in a trench coat (scripts).
Full ranking: pets tier list. Short version: pets are B or C until FILL 25 is comfortable solo.
Robux versus Cash
The experience is free-to-play. You can finish FILL quotas with Cash only. Optional Robux passes exist (Head Start, 2x Countries, vacuums, Infinite Inventory) and are listed with prices on gamepasses. VIP servers were still not enabled on the 13 September 2026 universe snapshot. Do not buy a pass to “unlock codes.” There are no public codes.
Co-op money
Online co-op does not pool Upgrade. Each account spends its own Cash. The mop role should prioritise clean speed; runners should prioritise carry and range (co-op). Do not all open Pets for a group screenshot at 0:40 remaining.
When to ignore the economy
If you cannot drop with F, the Shop will not save you. Learn the loop on How to Play. If continent signs confuse you, use continent signs before you farm Cash into the wrong aisle.
Snapshot numbers (they move)
As of this refresh the place had about 772K visits, 42K favorites, and 3.6K playing, with likes still around 85%. Last studio touch on the universe was 13 September 2026. Description and binds were unchanged from launch day (24 August 2026). Economy advice above assumes that HUD. If Karpath adds a named washer or a pet that truly carries Brazil, the updates hub gets the row first.
Spend Cash like a janitor with a stopwatch, not like a collector. Hands, then reach, then mop, then pets, then trails.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do I earn Cash in Clean the Countries?
Park country pieces on the matching continent shelf. Mopping alone is a weak printer. There are no verified cash codes yet.
Should I buy a pet first?
No. Extra carry and grab range first. Pets wait until FILL 25 is easy. See the pets tier list.
Does co-op share Cash?
No. Each Roblox account spends its own Upgrade. Roles are on the co-op page.
Will a code give me pets?
No public code has been verified. Keep how to redeem ready for when Karpath posts one.
